A common skin problem seen in children and adults is eczema or atomic dermatitis. Skin rashes with dry skin and flakes may appear. To treat eczema you may have to make some changes to your diet and lifestyle. Along with these changes a natural remedy will give you good results. Because of the dry skin there may be a tendency to scratch the skin to overcome the itchy feeling. However you should avoid doing this in order to prevent flare up.

1) One of the first tips that will help to treat eczema is a shift to cotton clothes and undergarments. You see synthetic clothes rub with your skin and can cause rashes. Cotton is a natural product that suits your body well and because it is soft it does not harm your skin. It also absorbs sweat which can cause irritation.

2) Another important thing you need to find out is about allergy. Are you allergic to certain items? Allergy can be caused due to dust particles, soaps, deodorants, creams, lotions, certain foods and many more items. To treat eczema you will have to identify items that cause allergy and avoid them at all cost.

3) If you are located in a place that has dry climatic conditions then your skin can get dry easily. And dry skin may cause itching and red rashes. Best way to overcome this problem is to use a moisturizer that will prevent scaling of skin due to dry conditions.

4) In order to treat eczema you may have to stop eating certain food items that can trigger this problem. Items like milk, curd, nuts, fish, citrus fruits etc are know to cause skin problems for many people. If your skin erupts due to any of these food items then it is best to stay away from the item.
